The PO did a horrendous job with the wiring so I pulled every piece of wiring off the truck and I am fixing it and making it look neat. If anybody has time and can show me where it runs on the driver's side fender please take a picture (it would be greatly appreciated!). I also need the engine wiring for the 2001 then she'll be 100% original!!

Got the motor tore down. Still have to do the bottom end and wait for the heads to come back from the machine shop. They never called so they must not be cracked. I did prep the engine for paint. Got all the wiring fixed and it looks neat.

That actually doesn't look that bad. Fairly clean.

Yeah the cylinder walls still have cross hatching. Pickup screen had a little sludge but nothing up top. Hopefully this fixes my vacuum issue

Truck might be sold so the project might be at an end

Default Chrome Engine Accessories

Well I couldn't bring myself to sell it. So I did a little magic in the water pump and this is the end result.

Default Rear End Noise

I had the pinion seal leaking and I never fixed it. Well before I pulled the motor it started singing. So I pulled the cover today and a little bit of fluid came out (no where near what should have) and I believe the rear end is spent. Only thing I can't figure out is how the pinion is contact the case.

Any other signs of damage in there? Any evidence the cover has been off before?? Might just be able to rebuild the rear, but, you were planning on replacing it anyway, weren't you??

You can see a chip taken out of it. I do plan on seeing to the 2500 access but they aren't nearly ready. I am just curious how the pinion is contacting it. The yolk has no slop. I'm impressed it's still going. Remember to years ago I had ring gear teeth gone.

Instead of rebuilding it I have a line on Off-road axles both for $500 which is good because the 4.10s will help and I'll be able to buy a gear to correct the speedo until I finish up the wiring (still need an 01 Ram engine harness)
