Default Add Steering Wheel Controls for The Radio

If anyone is interested in doing this here is what you need. I did this as my truck sits (96 wiring in an 01).
99-01 Clock Spring With radio controls. Here Dorman #535104
steering wheel harness and Rear Plastic cover
Pac Audio CP2 or CP5
Wire (I used the factory colors but you can use whatever color I recommended two different colors) Tip: Use string and run it where you want to run the wire that is how much would you need
Two Wire Terminal Pins (I used Delphi box terminals)

So if your truck didn't come factory with steering wheel controls you need a way to control the radio (that's where Pac Audio comes in). You will add one color wire with crimped terminal to pin# 4 on the clock spring. This is your control wire.

Next add the other colored wire with crimped terminal to Pin# 3 this just needs to go to a ground. That's it!

Hooefully this helps!

Default Engine Rebuild Time

Well if anyone remembers how I had a weak cylinder #8 or #7 I believe. Well it took a crap, it's completely dead and the cylinder is burning oil like a fat guy at a Golden Corral buffet. Since I am swapping in a Hemi I figured I would just rebuild to stock specs. Ordered everything from RockAuto and the parts should be here by next Wednesday.

Also ordered everything for my axles so hopefully will get them in this summer and paint the truck.

Well some parts arrived today. I am going to be reusing the following:
Timing Chain and gears (only 20K on it)
Heads
Valves
Pistons
Crank
Connecting Rods
And distributor

Might have the heads checked, but not getting the blocked checked, if there is still cross hatching then I'll be set. I just wonder what the break in period is for new rings as the FSM doesn't list one. And the old timers all have their own 😂. Also bought a high volume melling oil pump and will print the engine when it's out and probably the frame

Default Valve Covers

I decided to do a spin on the factory valve covers. Everything was hand painted except the Plum Crazy Purple it was Sprayed. Had a little paint bled through in some areas.

Default Started to pull the motor

Started to get the motor pulled. Had to use my old garage and the truck does not fit lol. Can only get the walkway in and that's flattening the tires
