Trans or Motor problem?
Hi, I drive a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie SLT with 163000 Miles
Between 30-45mph i lose power and it takes longer for me to speed up or to pass somebody. The motor doesn’t sound right, almost like a miss fire or dead cylinder. I have no idea what is causing it or what it even is. About a week ago it got really bad as I was getting on the freeway and the check engine light came on. Got it scanned and the scanner only had Chrysler on it so that’s what I used, I got code P1763 which is Governor pressure sensor high. I have not been able to find anyone else with this problem and I have no ide what to do. Is it safe to drive or am I going to brake or damage something? Please help
Thanks

More like it’s shifting late, goes from 2nd at 2500rpm into 3rd and drops around 2200rpm then shifts into forth gear once you give it some gas. Blew out the cat less then 4000 Miles abo and tune up was done less then 8000 Miles ago
What does the sensor look like, I have seen that video and I have looked up what they said and I can’t find it. I already planned on replacing the solenoid but I don’t know where to find it and what about this spring they are talking about that breaks a lot.

You can get the borg warner heavy duty solenoid set off ebay for around 100 bucks. Just fine a Highly rated seller.
Accumulator spring. Need to check and see if it's broken, or even there at all, before springin' for it. If you need it, you can likely find one locally for cheap.

That's o/d and tcc solenoid set. If you aren't getting codes for them, you don't really need to replace them. (but, it also wouldn't hurt.... after all, you are going to be RIGHT there.)
