I just received a PM from some lady? Whitney 31? Dodgey girl she called herself? Trying to sell me some nude pictures! How the hell does this nonsense make it into a dodge V10 forum? You guys get any messages like this? First time I've had anything other then talk of work n on a truck? There's other sites to chat with skanks! That's not why I am on this site! Kinda BS if you ask me!

So back to the subject at hand. Any one have a good formula for get n all the grease and oil off this engine before I start work n on it? Valve covers and oil pan been leak n for a while. Cheers!

Yeah, there has been a rash of that this morning. According to theory, we have 'protections' in place to prevent that. (need to have 2 posts to use the PM system....) Apparently, that isn't working...... We are looking into it.

Roger that! I reported it as soon as I saw there was a warning about it.

Would a pressure washer be too much for cleaning off this engine? I might just buy another gasket kit for this engine while it's sit n on the garage floor?

I think a pressure washer will blow water into places you don't want it. If you are going to disassemble it, and re-seal it, then sure. Go for it. But, if you are going to drop it in as-is, Think I would be more inclined to use some of the spray on degreaser, and just a garden hose. (a LOT less pressure.....)

I use this method. Just watch where you spray
Pressure washer it
Dawn dish soap (might have to agitate)
Power Washer
That usually gets most of it. Then I use the following in the tough spots.
Hot water, Purple Power straight, and a scrub brush. Rinse with a hose.
