My thought is: One of the individual coil packs has failed.... so, if that is indeed the case, you will see two cylinders on the same coil pack misfiring. (power balance test won't show much of an rpm drop on those cylinders.) Unfortunately, I don't think you can replace the individual coil packs, gotta replace the entire module...... See what happens there I guess.
Just out of idle curiosity, what spark plugs do you have in the engine? How old??

The wires were replaced a few years ago with top quality wires. They weren't cheap! I'm broke right now. I had to buy a set of 8 and 2 single wires. So I will call the Napa and order one more!
Truck still run n like crap! But, not half as bad as it was! Amazing no code thrown for a cooked wire? It actually wasn't too bad. Can't find another so far. So I black taped it and rerouted the wire. My wire hold down broke off. That's why the wire ended up on the header.

I had a plug wire that was burnt in half, which gave me a dead cylinder. It didn't fire at all........ and it never set a code...... CEL never blinked for misfire. I don't think the V-10 programming is as good at detecting them as the V-8's is. The V-10 just runs so smooth..... even WITH a dead cylinder.
