Coils and injectors should be 12 volt feed.

If you don't have a factory service manual yet, get one here. Wiring diagrams are far more accurate.

Default Electrical test

Coils and injectors probably need 12 volts but the sensors that run everything have a 5 volt supply wire. 20 guage VT/WT. The MAP SENSOR, The TPS, The CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR, The CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR all have that VT/WT 20 guage wire with a 5 volt supply?

That video I watched was on 95 dodge. Mine is a 96. The 95 had both a 5 volt supply and 8 volt supply. Can't find an 8 volt supply in my diagrams. So I'm gonna go find the ones you told me about. Thank you very much for the continued support! Happy holidays to everyone!

If you go to you tube and type in ,"cold no start case study 95 V-10 dodge". You will see that three part video about the PCM/ECU. He has a 5 volt supply wire and an 8 volt supply wire that are the problem. The 8 volt regulator on the PCM is what went bad on this application!

Default Still stumped

So I forgot to say, the day the truck really started running bad I heard some noise around the fuel pump? Like a squeel or a hissing noise. Checked the pump for a leaking or loose fuel line and everything checked out there?

I couldn't find that VT/WT wire in the harness to see if it had 5 volts. That dodge wiring diagram book I downloaded didn't show the 8 volt feed wire? But that was on a 95 and mine is a 96. Ughh!

Big difference between 95 and 96. A LOT changed in the electronics. (OBDI vs OBDII) Grab the 96 service manual. Diagrams should be more accurate.

96 dodge wiring diagram is the only one I've looked at. The 95 dodge was on that you tube video (cold no start 95 dodge v 10).

The ignition system went thru some pretty significant changes from 95 to 96, you need something year specific.

Are you getting spark? Got fuel pressure? Injector pulse? Do you have a scanner that will read live data?

Negative. I don't have a scanner. Did the key on, off, on, off, on and it thru me a code 12. But I unhooked the battery to clean the fuel injectors?

I was just reading some other threads and it mentioned the ground under the battery tray by the cruise control? The cruise control doesn't work on this truck. Don't think it ever has? Could that ground under the battery tray have something to do with not starting?

Can you tell I'm desperate? Asking about the cruise control ground? I know I have fuel. 50# at the fuel rail. Besides, I changed the fuel pump when this problem all started. Because the mechanic said it was the fuel pressure regulator. It wasn't. Mechanic said change the coolant temp sensor. Didn't fix anything! Mechanic said changed the IAC valve. Didn't help!

We are get n spark. The plugs are new as of march. Mechanic said they looked new. Because they are. The only thing we haven't messed with is the VSS, CMSFT POS SENSOR, CRNKSHAFT POS SENSOR. The truck used to at least start! It won't even start now? Been dead in my buddies driveway for a week!
