I'm changing my fuel injectors tomorrow afternoon. I read a post on dodgeinfo.com that indicated that I would need a set of standard wrenches. My tools were stolen a few months ago, so I'm rebuilding my collection, and don't yet have standard wrenches. In looking at the job(fuel rails, etc)I can't tell where they'll be needed. Anyone know what I'd need them for?

Also, anyone know what the torque specs are for the fuel rail mounting bolts?

 

Need the standard wrenches for the fuel rail mounting bolts. And fuel rail disconnect tool for the lines

 

Fuel rail disconnect tool? Where can I get one?

 

Autozone or any parts store. You don't need it but it does make everything easier

I only saw 1 fuel line. It's on the driver's side rail. There's a rubber hose that goes from the driver's side rail to the passenger side rail. Looked to me like the fuel is supplied to the drivers side rail and goes through the rubber hose to the passenger side rail. Am I correct in this?

 

Correct. And that center tube does NOT come off.

 

The main fuel line going into the rail on the left side. I've seen it where if it isn't disconnected it can crank (mostly on old lines)

 

I believe you will need 13mm and possibly10mm sockets, a couple of extensions and a ratchet to remove the fuel rails to get at the injectors.

Right(passenger)side rail. Don't see any lines except for the rubber hose coming from the left side rail.

Is the one that you say does NOT come off the fuel line in the middle of the left(drivers)side rail? If so, where is/are the fuel line(s)? If not, where is the one that doesn't come off?
