Default Fuel pressure reading off top of filter housing

Hi everyone I installed the edge EAS pressure sensor on the banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter housing. With a new filter I’m seeing 9 psi at an idle. 7-8 under empty acceleration. Seems low to me any other thoughts? Also this is a 1999 with the original filter housing with taps in the top.

Diesel? Is that pressure from the lift pump?

Yes it’s diesel. This is the pressure reading from the lift pump using the edge transducer with the eas kit. Leaving in two days for a 1000 mile trip and I don’t like the readings I’m getting. Hoping for a solution I can install with in stock (tomorrow being Sunday) parts from autozone or advanced auto.

Actually, it's not that low. VP44 requires 5-7 psi while cranking, and minimum of 10 psi at idle speed.

Me too, first 98-99 manual, but only found P7100 specs (which was used in early 98, until 98.5 they switched to a VP44), so I went to a 00-01 manual which had VP44 specs.

I use a regular pressure gauge on top of my fuel filter and mine reads 22. Do you have the stock lift pump? or a after market?
