Torque Converter Staying Locked and No Power in Overdrive
Well it's been a while since I got around to working on the ole gal but the new plenum is in and while I was at it I replaced the distributor too and rerouted the plug wires. I did the non fouler trick as was suggested as well. Just when I thought it was all good I was backing out and fluid was going everywhere. Long story short I now have a new power steering gearbox, hi and low pressure hoses and a power steering cooler from an f-250 (it was free so don't judge 😉
, and a frost plug. Went on to replace the rad, lower rad hose, and thermostat housing unit as well. Took it our for a ride and overdrive still **** the bed. I'm lost, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel sync is likely off then. Need a scanner to set it correctly. You only get a window of plus/minus 7 degrees..... Base idle, fully warmed, in gear, should be around 650 to 700 or so. (turning the distributor changes injector timing, has nothing to do with ignition timing.)
Among some searching last night, would a fuel pump cause any problems? Also, while driving with OD off at about 80km/h if I turn OD on it does so immediately. However to turn it off while driving, I need to slow down to around 30km/h or come to a stop before it won't engage again. Could this be an electrical problem?
