Ok so the plot definitely thickens, yesterday I dropped my pan and valve body to replace valve body and find this on the magnet.... what in the world is this. I can also say that the arm that goes to my low reverse band was really loose and out of spec, all though I still had reverse...

well that’s definitely not good, problably happened when my driveshaft slung our and broke my transfer and tail shaft, I’m sure this is a pretty stupid question but there’s no way to save the transmission with those in there is there

I took a guess at what it is because that's what it looks like. As to your question...I have no idea if it is what I said it was. Sure if you year it apart. I only rebuilt 2 transmissions in my life. So I'm not that advanced on them... Sorry
I agree with the fanatic. That's what's left of a needle bearing. Unfortunately, that means it's rebuild time. Your trans is not going to live long with those parts not where they are supposed to be.....

that sucks due to the fact it was just rebuilt. That was caused when my od unit and stuff snapped I guess
SO, as a little write up even though my trans is toast, the problems were fixed that we had discussed. I dropped the valve body and replaced it and the shift shaft seal, which was causing my leak. The new valve body made my transmission shift up and down flawlessly. The down shift came back with the new valve body. So all in all thanks for everyone’s help. I will no longer need to post on this thread due to the matter of I plan on selling this truck, I have done to much on the transmission and it has just become a large burden and expense. Thanks all!
But now you know what the problem was, and it's fixed... Sure, the trans needs rebuilt.... (any warranty on the previous rebuild left??) I would be tempted to fix the trans, then drive the truck till the wheels fell off.
