Default Please help. Driveshaft help.

So I just bought a 95' Ram 1500 4x4 with a body lift and such. The drive shaft isnt all of the way in and is making a noise when I accelerate. What do you think it is?

What can cause this and what will fit it

First of all, name the thread so that we can get a clue of what the possible problem might be. For example, "Driveshaft problem". If every other thread is "please help" it would be very much annoying to try and find something.

Driveshaft looks to be normal. That's a slip joint, which allows the driveshaft to move whitout binding when the suspension cycles.

Start from the u-joints. Might want to pull the driveshaft, dry u-joint may not have any slack, but they don't move smoothly.

Welcome to DF!

That is a good point HeikIlm, especially when someone with a similar issue does a search, it will not show up. U-joints are a good place to start.

A body lift doesn't move the drivetrain at all just moves the body panels up X amount of inches

Looks normal to me. The shaft will slide in further as the suspension compresses.

Alright so if I replace the slip joint would that fix the issue?

No no no! Troubleshoot for the broken part and replace that. It's really hard to say over the internet judging by the one single picture, what is broken. Like I said, good place to start is to pull the shaft. There's no point of replacing parts randomly, starts to get very expensive.

1 piece or 2 piece driveshaft? If later, there's also support bearing that goes bad, and another slip joint after the bearing. But like already said, u-joints are common parts to wear out.

What is that shiny section on the upper front u joint just below the cap?

If every other thread is "please help" it would be very much annoying to try and find something.
If you use the "search" feature it will show results of the key words you type in, Not hard to find at all. But it's not a bad idea to be more specific.

So what kind of noise is it making? Just a single clunk? Something that coincides with the speed of the driveshaft? I agree with the others, take the driveshaft out and check the u-joints for smooth movement. Grease the splines on the end going into the transfer case. I prefer Spicer of SKF u-joints. Please try to be a little more descriptive of the noise.
