Default Popping/clanking/clicking

So I have a 2001 2nd generation ram and a few weeks ago when I hit the brake my truck started making a loud clanking noise. (Similar to card in bike wheel spokes but louder) I can also feel the clanking under my feet. It doesn't happen every time so I have no clue where to even start working it out. Any ideas??

Depending on what it is it could be fine or not. Mine was loose bolts. You said you feel it under your feet. I wonder if your transmission mount (it's rubber) is bad

Anything is possible I had a transmission put in it about six months ago. I was wondering one thing though is I have a spider gear in the rear differential that has a couple of teeth that had broken off could that possibly be making the noise? However it does seem to be towards the front of the truck when I hear the noise. Also side note, do I have to replace the entire rear end of the truck or can I just replace a spider gear?

Can replace just the spider gear but I've been driving with 4 missing teeth and 2 chipped on the ring gear for over a year. One member here said there is a TSB for the linkage making noise which would be under your feet

Could it be the ABS system? You can feel that in the pedal but doesn't make a loud noise. Also is it 4X2 4X4? May pull the wheels and have a look at the breaks. Check wheel bearings u joints etc...

Ok so just had wheel bearings changed and clicking noise is still there. Was in some heavy traffic and noticed the noise isn't only when braking. I was coasting in traffic and the click was in rhythm of my speed. I am so lost right now and about ready to just kick and scream!
