Popping/clanking/clicking
So I have a 2001 2nd generation ram and a few weeks ago when I hit the brake my truck started making a loud clanking noise. (Similar to card in bike wheel spokes but louder) I can also feel the clanking under my feet. It doesn't happen every time so I have no clue where to even start working it out. Any ideas??

Anything is possible I had a transmission put in it about six months ago. I was wondering one thing though is I have a spider gear in the rear differential that has a couple of teeth that had broken off could that possibly be making the noise? However it does seem to be towards the front of the truck when I hear the noise. Also side note, do I have to replace the entire rear end of the truck or can I just replace a spider gear?
