Ok guys, sorry for all the new threads. I replaced my fuel pump a while ago and ever since the fuel gage has stopped working. it gets power just always shows empty and fuel light is on. Do you all think that the aftermarket is the issue?

I don't remember any arrow or lines when i did mine. But i always mark the old one before i remove it. If i recall the the float goes towards the front.
There is an arrow on the pump and 2 lines on the tank. The arrow has to be in those lines
So, when I replaced it I placed everything back in the same position. I did not notice lines of course I wasn't looking for them either. I think I will remove the bed and check everything. if that doesn't do it. Then I will be purchasing a mopar pump.

If it is indexed correctly, before buying a new pump, pull the pump out and lift the float whole someone watches the gauge with the key on. If it works then you know either you got sold the wrong pump (there are 2 different pumps) or the float is hitting the tank.
