Block huggers are another option but they are not made for the magnum only the LA's. You can mod them to match to a magnum.
Those would work if I was keeping the auto transmission but on the 5 speed I am putting in the starter moves to the opposite side so those would hit the starter. I am going to use block huggers for an LA engine.

To replace the cam, assuming you are already pulling the intake, and replacing the timing chain, would require the following.
Remove the rocker arms, remove pushrods, remove lifters, remove camshaft.
To replace the springs, there are 2 ways,
1. remove the heads and use a standard valve spring compressor ......
2. or you can take a air compressor and with an adapter, you pressurize the cylinder. You then use a valve spring compressor designed to be used while the engine is in the car. remove the springs, and replace the seals, install new springs....
It really is simple to do now that the motor is out, the intake is off and the timing set is being replaced.

Cam selection should be done by either your tuner or a camshaft company. They will want to know use, intended rpms, gearing, a host of other questions.
But for me, I would go with the hughes springs. IMO at $200.00 its about the best deal for the magnum. Spring pressure is 120 and 300 on a magnum.
For a camshaft, I would go with Lunati, I would go with a 206-212 dur. 485 lift or 212-218 duration 485 lift. You can get this cam for under $300.00
But again, I would talk to your tuner and take his advise or a camshaft co. ........

I got my cam, springs, and rocker arms from Hughes an would recommend them! Also got my tuner from them and would not recommend them for that as I ordered June 1 and have yet to get my tuner.

If you are putting in new cam, put in new bearings.

Exactly it's made for rear ends and wheel bearings) seals. I found a cheap one on eBay for around $175 but you could get a brand name one for around $250. I went through one set just trying to seat them an had to buy another set. Oh and OP they go in a certain way (usually how they are oriented in the box).
