Default Over Heating Last options

99 5.2l

194000

Truck keeps overheating.

The following have been done

1. Full coolant flush, yes, the air is out

2. 10000 miles ago thermostat was replaced. You can feel the upper hose and tell when it opens, that should be good.

3. I have the ffdynamic radiator fan setup. Works great no issue, just installed it

4. Radiator cap is in the way

5. water pump replaced new

Is it at all posable the radiator is bad? Had a pressure test and it passed.

Test for combustion products in the coolant. Parts store will have a kit for just such an occasion.

"fan" as in one? You should be using two. Witch one and how much cfm? Do you still have the factory fan set up?
Radiator cap is in the way
In the way of what?

Same question asked in the Dakota forum. but when does it over heat? IE: idle, setting still, slow speeds, 50mph, or all of these?

Yes ^^^^ when does it overheat?
2 It's possible the thermostat isn't opening all the way.
5 The new water pump may be defective. What brand?
6 Your radiator passages could be clogged restricting flow through it. This happened to mine.
3 Was it over heating before you changed the fan? Or did the problem start after changing it?
