Default Repairing fuel line on chassis?

The quick connect fitting that goes to the fuel pump rotted off. Can I repair it with Dorman’s 5/16 connector? They look identical, but not sure if it fits the line or the fuel pump assembly. According to the vehicle fitment guide, it doesn’t fit, but they’ve been wrong many times. I’d like to buy a new line, but they’re obsolete.

Isn't the fuel line 3/8ths?

Get a look under there, and see what the actual problem is, before spending money.

InlineTube sells the plastic fuel line with the 90° connector or SSTubes sells the whole brake line

The fuel pump connector is 3/8 and the fuel line is 5/16. I used a gasoline hose, clamps, and a quick connector to repair the line. Even better than the cheap, OEM nylon tube.

Nylon line is about the best fuel line you can get. Glad you got it fixed!

I had to do something similar when I installed a new factory hard line from the fuel tank forward. The factory hard line had a short nylon line section and the connector for the fuel pump on it. When I installed the new hard line, the nylon line got kinked, so I cut the nylon line off the hard line and installed a length of 5/16" rubber fuel injection hose with two 5/16" fuel injection clamps. This should also make dropping the fuel tank easier if it ever has to be done in the future, since I looped the rubber fuel line to allow for some extra length.

Same here tried twice and decided it would be easier to just do soft in the final bend...made it easier when I had to drop the tank later
