It just unscrews. Standard right-hand threads. Deep socket? Channel locks? I think chemicals might be a good idea too...... Clean it off up there good before removing it though. Don't want all the crap that accumulates up there getting inside the t-case.

Valving in the steering box itself handle that job. You might be able to flush it out, and solve it, or, you may need to replace the box.....

Oh okay yeah that makes sense the guy I bought it off of said he put a new box in it but didn’t bleed it I honestly didn’t they it would affect it that much just from air in the lines I think maybe it wasn’t replaced

A lot of the time, the 'replacement' box you get from the parts store has more problems than the one it is replacing..... Borgeson, and Redhead make rather good replacements, but, they are a bit pricey. There is also Blue-Top, but, last I checked, they didn't have any in stock for our trucks. Keep in mind, there are two possibilities for your steering box, only difference between them is the steering ratio.

This one is the 15:1 ratio, makes for more responsive steering, the 18:1 box is used on the heavier duty trucks apparently.
