If there isn't an orifice tube in there, (and it should be in the aluminum line that connects to the condenser) that would explain a lot.

All right, that will explain a lot I agree... So tomorrow I will take the system apart again and I will find that orifice if it's anywhere to be found. And I will report back tomorrow my findings. Thank you so much.

Okay I have bought a new orifice tube I bought a complete Schrader valve kit.... And I have bought pressure switches new.... So my question is this...BEFORE I TAKE THIS CONDENSER BACK OFF AND LOOK DOWN IN THE OUTLET TOO WHICH IS WHERE THE ORIFICE TUBE IS LOCATED ON THIS VEHICLE I FOUND THAT OUT WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT... I ORDERED THIS CONDENSER NEW FROM AMAZON... MY QUESTION IS... SHOULD THIS NEW CONDENSER HAVE A NEW ORIFICE DOWN IN IT OR IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I BOUGHT A NEW CONDENSER THAT DID NOT INCLUDE THE ORIFICE? I'm not wanting to pull it off but I will if you think it's the best thing to do.

Look at post #7 in this thread. That's for a 97, I think, but, should be right in that neighborhood.

I got a 94 1500 O'Reilly Auto parts my local parts store has a very unique web page on their computers in the store and the girl pulled it up and it showed the location to be in the outlet tube of the condenser on my particular truck. And it even showed some comments where one guy said that he finally got it removed with a large needle with a slightly curved tip. So apparently it's not very far down in there. I'm going to take it off of there today and make sure there's one in there and go ahead and remove it and put the new one in. I'll snap some photos. I appreciate you replying. Any information is greatly appreciated.
OKAY THIS IS A EDIT AND I ADDED ONE MORE PHOTO...
I went ahead and removed the aluminum line from the outlet of the condenser around to the evaporator I pushed a soft wire all the way through it no restrictions no orifice... And you can see the line going from the inlet of the condenser that goes to the compressor... There is a wire all the way through it even in the photo. There is no other tubing or lines that is long enough to insert an orifice tube except in the outlet of the condenser.

As you can see I run this wire up into the outlet tube of the condenser...(in each case you can see how far went up in there by the length of the wire)... I put it in the inlet tube... I put it up in the aluminum line from the condenser all the way to the Schrader valve... And I put it up into the line going to the compressor 2 ft..... I did not see an orifice nor did I feel an office.... So I really need some input on this now.

So, there's no orifice hiding in the lines or the condenser, the filter/accumulator is new n not clogged, AND you're sure the evaporator core is good, and the lines aren't clogged then put a new set of schrader valves on, new orifice tube, seal 'er up, vacuum 'er out n try 'er again. There's not really much more to the system. The problem you're describing has to do with volume, not operation of the compressor, correct? If you're sure the compressor is good, then with the next try, if you can't get the compressor to turn, short the lo n hi press switches to get the compressor to turn just long enough to get a record of the pressures on the lo n hi sides.

Yes sir I just got back from the auto supply again picked up the pressure switches got me a regular Schrader valve tool got to buy the whole aluminum line from the bottom side of the condenser to the evaporator just to get the valve, I ordered that. O'Reilly's computer system shows the orifice in the outlet tube on the condenser... So that's the two that I will slide the orifice down in. A new high side valve a new low side valve and I'll swap out all the stems in the rest out of the kit. And in a few more days we'll know. I appreciate your replying.

CHECK THIS OUT...*...After showing a VIEW of the ORIFICE TUBE in the OUTLET SIDE of the CONDENSER, (@ O'Reilly's Auto Parts), Rock Auto offers the ALUMINUM LINE from the CONDENSER to the EVAPORATOR..*WITH* the ORIFICE TUBE..(?) ( Is the Orifice Tube INSIDE the LINE or just "COMES WITH" the line) don't know until I actually TALK to RA REP. .... HERE'S YET ANOTHER MIND BOGGLER... The low side service port which is removable by threads they do not offer a replacement for you have to buy the whole line which I did..... The high side service port on the block on the compressor they offer a threaded replacement for but it is a fixed service port. (WHICH I PROMPTLY BROKE OFF TRYING TO UNSCREW IT).
However I think I figured out a solution to the problem by every piece you could possibly buy for the whole system brand new I just replaced the whole thing which is now exactly what I've done. When all the parts arrive and I install them... THIS VERY SIMPLISTIC SYSTEM WILL BE ENTIRELY BRAND NEW. ......★PROBLEM SOLVED★... I'm not sure just yet but I will be within the next 10 days!

I know the orifice tube moved around over the years, and I haven't found a really good source for showing just where it is, and the myriad trucks we see here....
