Suspension Guru's needed !

While we are talking trucks, aside from increasing NVH are there any other downfalls to using urethane body mounts? Im finishing up a complete Body swap using Rust free southern parts. I noticed that my factory rubber cab mounts are cracking and I wanna replace them while its all apart. I dont mind increasing the vibration through the truck if the performance benefits out way the cons.
Where did you get your parts from? Cost??
As for urethane body mounts, there really isn't any performance reason to use them on a truck. On a car, they serve to stiffen the body/frame, to improve handling. Not exactly an issue on a truck.
Though, I gotta admit, while my 96 2500 4x4 was most certainly NOT a sports car.... I did find myself driving it like it was every now and then. But then, I would come to the startling realization that my 6000 pound, top-heavy truck, did NOT handle like my Firebird.... Whodathunkit?
