First time I've seen that. Was the post considered an ad? Heck, we all name products & prices here so what's up with this one?

12v, a few months ago you said "I will be reinstalling the old ugly dash until my new lower gets here." Has it arrived? Installed? Pics?

Thanks in advance.

The projected arrival date is in August 2023.
If I violated a rule, Sorry. I thought the view might help.
I will post pictures and any problems I run into along the way when the install completed.

I have no idea what was different, not going to dwell on it, either.

Default Dash help

My 02 2500 dash top came out in a basket. F'n Mopar should've put out a recall for this issue. I'm sure plenty of these and later model Rams with same issue were involved in accidents that resulted in shards of plastic fly'n all around interior of cab cutting, slashing who knows what. Besides the cost to replace these, this is a safety issue that our wonderful government should've pressed Mopar for a recall. Hell...they did it to Toyota for frick'n floor mats!! I was somewhat lucky, only my top dash had to be replaced, via LMC. So far, 3yrs passed, it's worked out well. My lower dash is starting to crack, so I've resorted to making fibreglass re-enfrorcement patches installed where possible behind the cracks....and that has worked out well. I've only got 141k on this Ram, so dumping it off is not an option especially when ya see the price for newer Rams..and all the crap that's plaguing them...engines, transmissions, fuel issues...etc. I almost pulled the pin on a 2019 BigHorn 4x4 beautiful Ram....but its a Ram and I've seen enough Ram issues to last a lifetime. This dash board issue really pisssed me off.....how the hell can ya love a truck from a company that rammed us hard....laughing all the way to the bank? I feel for Arobinson11. Years.ago I had a vehicle that nickled and dimed me to death....seriously. Fortunately it was involved in an accident where this piece of german ingenuity burned to the ground...literally to the ground....one of the more happier days of my life.

Reviving an old thread…

So the top is the dash on my ‘97 has finally cracked. It had a long crack and was rattling, so while cruising down the highway I stuffed a napkin in between the crack and that made a large part shatter and now there is a 8” x 8” hole in my dash. Will I be a good candidate for the LMC Dash Cover?

The hole will be a bit of a problem.... Various places sell replacement dash tops. Made from better plastic too.... won't break down and get brittle nearly so quickly. A permanent solution.

Ugh. Isn’t the labor for replacing the dash kinda intense?

Is the dash cover from LMC just a super thin “condom” that has zero integrity of it’s own?
