Typically 3.55 on most Dodge Ram trucks. Some had the optional 4.10s. Dana 60 is used in the Ram 2500 trucks, but not the 1500. Ford and Chevy trucks also used Dana 60s and 4.10 gearing in many of them were quite common. I found my Dana 60 gear sets used on eBay cheap. In the Ram 1500, the axles are likely the Dodge 9-1/4 (rear) and Dana 44 (front, I believe). The Dodge Ram Offroad 1500 edition trucks used 4.10 gearing and the SST edition trucks used 3.92 gearing in the rear.

how complex would a Dana 60 with disc rear be to convert over

Several folks on this site have done that swap. You will need the wider leaf springs from a Ram 2500 along with the U-bolts and mounting plates. I swapped my Dana 60 to a later model Dodge Ram 2500 disc brake Dana 60 (I believe it was out of a 2000 or 2001 truck) and I had to use the speed sensor from my '96 drum brake Dana 60. Other than that, it was a bolt-in swap. One last item - the Dana 60 uses 8 lug wheels. The 1500 trucks use 5 lug wheels.

are there adapter Carriers or do you have to trim the leaves?

No and no. You need to either weld new spring perches on the 2500 axles or new hangers
