Shaky Crank pulley
And these trucks are so picky about their sensors to begin with.
You definitely don't need to pull the radiator to get the balancer off.
If you're already renting a puller, rent a fan clutch tool, too. Just whack it with a hammer.
As for PM: yeah, you'll have the belt off so you could replace the belt, tensioner and any idler pulleys. For hard parts like this sourcing OEM is not necessarily practical (or justified on an old truck) and AutoZone parts are "ok." Also this would be the time to do your fan clutch but if it feels good I often leave them alone.

As with the sensors and the truck being 20 + years old. I assumed there would be a lot of discontinued pieces and parts that would take a long while to deliver. Or hell, even get ahold of them. Lol.
considering he said these trucks are super picky about sensors. I will double check to see if I can afford the mopar replacements. If so, I’ll try. If not, I’ll be using the “ok” parts.
After searching around. If I buy all mopar replacements, I’m spending a few HUNDRED dollars more…. With extended shipping periods since it comes straight from the manufacturer.
worth it? Idk. Possibly. I’m sure they work better but SHEEE that’s a lot of extra moneys.
we’ll see when the time comes

I take it that Dorman tends to have high defect rates?
