No such thing as a stupid question here. If you don't know for 100% certain, if there is ANY question in your mind, ask.

Thank You. Just a rough day here. Getting it to go back in is being a bear. Everything that can block you will. It slapped me today. Dirty, tired worn out. Hate to miss another day of work but I need to get this up and going so go at it again in the morning. I got it up and over the exhaust getting it out so I don't see why I can't do the same in reverse? I really don't want to open that can of worms. Living on a dirt/muddy roads explains why. The gear shift lever ( I think it is) is sticking out enough to get hung up and doesn't like to move out of the way . Getting rest and back at it again in the morning. Will update when things move forward.

Take your time, don't kill yourself doing it. The shift linkage came come out of the way, but, the rusty bolts might be a problem.... having another warm body makes the job MUCH easier, but, I know that doesn't always work out.....

A second hand would be nice but that would have to wait till the weekend if lucky. I am going to look into that on the shift deal. I am either hitting it or the O2 sensor. I walked away and will start again in the morning.

Well the good news is that I got the transmission installed, drive shaft done with some of the electrical hooked up but trying to figure the shifter and throttler hook up. It seems the pictures I took aren't as good as I thought. Still have to put dust cover and starter back in but it looks to being a half of a day work if everything goes good. Progress is slow but moving forward.

Should be pics and adjustment procedures for both of those in the service manual.

Chilton is very vague but they do have a small picture. Trans manual has nothing so I am going to try and search online. All I really need is a good picture then it would refresh my mind. Due to rain, I have a very small picture as for time to get out there and work on it. I went through heck today getting it in on my own. Just picking iy up off the bench to get it on a dolly was chore. lol.I just hope everything works out. I followed everything through and did the checks as he told me to do and it seemed everything was correct. I'm nervous but crossing fingers.

Download the service manual for your truck from here. These are the factory manuals, MUCH more informative.

I went through manual posted and didn't really see anything. I did find somewhat decent pictures that give me a general idea of how it should go. I should have taken better pictures. I'm pretty sure I will get it figured out. I will update once everything is back in. Just going to finish it this weekend.
