Oh. Yeah. That's bad. Might wanna drop the pan, and see what's up. If your truck is a 4x4, I know you can drop the pan without lifting the motor. I've done it.
Thanks for reply, I've dropped pan a few times, fun part is keeping gasket in place going back up but solved that w fishing line lol, was just hoping to make sure wasn't spark knock but that shouldn't cause it to jug that much oil. If I'm correct?
My 96 would burn a quart every 150 miles...... no obvious leaks, and only got smoke out the tailpipe on hard acceleration, otherwise, it was simply a mystery where the oil was going..... I am sure some was leaking out the valve covers, and burning off on the exhaust manifolds, so, never hitting the ground.... and my compression numbers didn't look so good either... even though then engine ran decent enough.
This is what I had when pulled covers off to check springs, heard it's not an issue if truck sits alot which it used to, and none of this junk is in pan or on dipstick
