Oh. Yeah. That's bad. Might wanna drop the pan, and see what's up. If your truck is a 4x4, I know you can drop the pan without lifting the motor. I've done it.

Thanks for reply, I've dropped pan a few times, fun part is keeping gasket in place going back up but solved that w fishing line lol, was just hoping to make sure wasn't spark knock but that shouldn't cause it to jug that much oil. If I'm correct?

That kind of oil loss would leave huge puddles on whatever surface is under it.... but, it's gotta be going somewhere.....

No external leakage and no tailpipe smoke unless cold out. I mean she always used oil but dang this is a new record lol

My 96 would burn a quart every 150 miles...... no obvious leaks, and only got smoke out the tailpipe on hard acceleration, otherwise, it was simply a mystery where the oil was going..... I am sure some was leaking out the valve covers, and burning off on the exhaust manifolds, so, never hitting the ground.... and my compression numbers didn't look so good either... even though then engine ran decent enough.

Longest trip she's has had lately was when I drove it down from KC to new house, 170 miles didn't use a drop.

Might be tempted to do a leakdown test, see what happens.
