Default crank no start

i have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.2 auto i just had the the crank sensor replaced due to crank no start tach didn't even flinch when cranking had new sensor installed ran for maybe 10in but ran very rough figured it was loaded up from trying to get it to start before so went for a ride to open it up and clear the system went to turn around it stalled and now will no start again acting the same as it did before. Is it possible i simply got a bad sensor?

Yep. These trucks hate aftermarket sensors in critical locations. Don't get much more critical than the crank sensor. Mopar sensor only please.

I think the connector changed at some point.... If you can get the part number for the correct year part, search on that. You can usually find 'em cheaper than dealer pricing.

You can contact any Mopar dealer parts department by phone and they will usually share the part number with you, if you ask politely. Once you have the part number, you can search the web to find that part number at a pretty reasonable price.

No issues here with eBay. I do take some precautions when shopping there - for one, I make sure that the seller has a stellar seller rating before I'll drop my $$$ with that seller... I've been very fortunate with my purchases on eBay. Very few issues over quite a few years... The few I did have, I worked with eBay or my credit card company to recover the $$$...

Just FYI, some Chrysler dealers are selling on eBay...

Shouldn't be going there for any parts. Unless you now exactly what you are looking for. They should rename it "Chinabay".
