Standard Motor Products used to be good. Don't know if they still are...

My mind is blown. Cluster is fine according to that test. Pretty neat Chrysler thought to throw that feature in there. It may be a week or so before I get around to it but I’ll pull the sensor and get a tester on it.

I’ve had decent luck with duralast parts, and others (couldn’t find denso O2 sensors) and my truck tolerates the Walkers well. Hopefully this is all just a big lesson to shell out for Mopar

SMP also offers their T-series line which is meant to be budget. Their main line stuff still seems decent...

This just cured it all. Almost like it reset or recalibrated the system. Still installing a mechanical gauge but all is ops normal now

Not as clean as I would’ve liked- the exposed tubing and wires bother me but it’ll ride. Thanks for all the help on this!

I'm sure you can still get a-pillar pods for 2nd Gens if you want to relocate it. Plenty of Cummins guys run 'em for various gauges

I gave it a thought- kinda wish I had gone with it. The steering column mount is great for nylon tube applications. Installing it with copper was a pain

Copper may be slightly more difficult to install, however, I prefer copper over the nylon line. I've seen them burst over time due to heat cycles and pressure. Another option is a small diameter braided line, however, more expensive...
