Default 95ram 1500 5.2 skip

I went on a 7 hr Rd trip yesterday (about 3.5hrs each way) made it where I was going just fine then about half way home it started running funky and seems to be skipping and now I believe due to that suddenly not shifting properly had recent (8mo) tune up and 3 mo ago replaced the pick up under the distributor cap has been running great until yesterday with no warning was running great then suddenly not. My friend that does most of my work think maybe the coil? It looks like it might be original and the truck has close to 290,000 miles on it

Put a bulb back in and do the key dance. Yea two digit codes but will give you a good idea what the problem is.

Yeah that would require taking the entire instrument panel out to figure which bulb plus i already know it has bad EGR and the only o2 is. Missing and cat is hollow but been that way for at least 5yrs with no problems

well finally got around to actually checking plug wires tonight by misting with spray bottle while running and the passenger side by the valve cover is at least one wire arching out so gonna talk to my guy that did the tune up to see if he remembers when it was done and if there is any warranty on the wires probably not but worth a shot. If not covered ill replace them next month just strange that it was running great then all of a sudden started skipping running like crap finger crossed

If the wires are el cheapoes they are problematic out of the box. Get a decent set of 8 mm ones.
