If you put the trans in gear, with the 8 pin unplugged, will the truck move under it's own power?

Nope, not at all. Won't do anything in any gear. But it will set off codes for the pressure and shift solenoid. But I plug it back in and reset the codes, they stay cleared.

How many quarts did you say this truck would hold? 12 or so? I have 9 in it at the moment. Maybe I just don't have enough in it possibly. I've wasted a few quarts pulling, tearing down, and reinstalling. I would think that that would be enough to suck the fluid out the pan tho. Well over the max mark on the dipstick too.

Have a scanner that can read those sensors??? Of course, if the truck is not moving, GP will be zero anyway......

I suspect you have an internal leak somewhere. Either the pump can't draw fluid, or, pressure is bleeding off somewhere. There are pressure test ports on the trans, might try hooking a gauge up to a couple of 'em, and see what you get.

Already tested on the ports, no pressure anywhere. And when I take out the port plugs, there is no fluid in any of them, not even a drop. Maybe I messed up somewhere on the valve body. When I cleaned and rebuilt it, I was extremely tired from working all day. Going to drop it, tear it down, clean it, and make sure i got everything back where it's supposed to go.

Sounds like a good plan.

Pressures are fine.
This is what you replied in post #8 when I suggested to see what the pressures are. Did I miss something? You can remove the vb with out removing the trans. When you remove (or put in a new tc) you want to fill it as much as you can(about half way) before putting it in. It's less work for the pump to do.

Figured out what the problem was, went to take the torque converter bolts out pushed the converter back to see how much distance is between the pad and flexplate, 3/8", so tried to push it back in and it wouldn't budge! So when i tightened it up, it pulled the converter away from the pump gear tabs. The mounting pads on the converter are just under a 1/4" thick. Going to go ahead and exchange the converter out and check thickness of the pads and tack weld 1/8" washers or whatever thickness washers I'll need. I would need to stay between 1/8" and 3/16" end play, correct?

Torque converter mounting pads are too thin. When I tightened the torque converter bolts, it pulled the converter off the pump gear tabs. 3/8" end play!

Yep, that was the issue, you can see on top of the pump gear tabs where the TC was dragging across them. Man, the quality of remanfactured parts has went to hell!!
