With the Harland Sharps, that "neutral position" stuff is not necessary. No lash adjustments needed either. Also, since they are shaft mounted, you no longer need guideplates. They fit under stock valve covers too. I think HS rockers are the only way to go in my opinion.
you still need the valve covers though... cause they look cool and make the engine compartment look way better...

I agree. I didn't need new valve covers (the HS fit under the stock covers without even needing to beat your baffles), but I went with them anyway because of how much better they look, and since I was going to have my stock ones off anyway, perfect time to swap them out.

Who is the source for HS rockers? I think I will convert my truck to those when I am down again for the transmission rebuild.
I got mine from John Mercedes at Southeast Performance, fomally Southeast R/T.

John is awesome to talk to and do business with. He knows tons about making power out of a Magnum engine. I think I paid $300 plus shipping.

i think i looked at the rockers last night and it said that they were $7 a piece so why did you have to pay $300 plus shipping?

I have a dumb question that has to be asked. 1 What are the diffrences between Viper rockers and HS or Crower 1.6 RR's. 2 Is it worth the big diffrence in price. 3 Is there a paticular year Viper they have to come out of? Like I said I had to ask. Thanks.

rom and i were discussing this in a different thread.. we are pretty sure that the HS and Crowers RR's are infact rollers and the vipers are 1.7's but are flat tappet.. not postive but we were pretty sure since the viper motor and rom's motor is close to being the same.. search for viper rocker and see whats around.. i know if 2 dudes that did the vipers here (not active any more) and said they liked them

robert.. was that cam you put in a hyd. roller cam or flat tappet like the stocker? anything flat tappet will rob power b/c of the friction.. and when you start to get into roller you can really feal a diference.. like roller lifters on roller cam with roller rockers.. roller

on the valve covers... anyone considering them my want to look at the polished ones instead of the black wrinkle ones... reason being the black ones may need to have the black touched up over time... mine were chippng near the bolt holes. that wouldnt have happend with the polished ones...

Ya, I am pretty sure the Viper 1.7's are flat tappet rockers. I think if you go to 1.7's, best to go with roller. Vipers might be cheaper then others out there, but rollers are definelty better.
