Sorry, can't answer either of your questions. I didn't measure the breather grommet hole size, and I just fabbed an s-bolt to use with my setup.

Thanks Zique. So you can use a straight bolt with the offset center you ordered? Not sure about my fabrication skills in making a S bolt.
That is correct. it lines right up. The kit comes w/ an S bolt, so you'll need to go to the local hardware store and pick up a 1/4"-20 bolt/rod.
The stand alone breather, I couldn't tell you for sure either other than I know it is bigger than the 3/4 inch ones that are most common. I just used an APC style that has a hose clamp and clamped it on the plastic elbow of the current breather set-up.

I see that Summit has a chrome 14" with a 2" or 3" reuseable filter for like $30. Whats the biggest size that will work for the 5.2? Would this be better the the edlebrock proflo?

I did not reuse the little elbow, I inserted the breather directly into the valve cover. Of course, I also have different valve covers then most, but I will try to get a better picture of the breather installed to put in this thread since the question comes up so much.

Ok, I ordered mine yesterday from Summit for about $28. Arriving on Friday this week. Bought a 1/4"-20 threaded rod to make the offset bolt. Last night I took off the plastic breather on the valve cover to see what size breather to buy and the darn thing broke into pieces. Had to literally pry it out with a screwdriver hoping none of would end up inside the vavle cover. By the way it takes a 1 1/8".

So what is the exact size of the offset? 3/4" or 7/8"

I didn't even measure the s-bolt, just bent it till it looked about right. First one was not quite right, so I made another, and it worked perfectly. It really isn't that tough, so don't sweat it.

Just made my bolt back in the maintenance shop here at work. No problem at all when you have a 1/4" pipe bender. AC arriving this afternoon and can't wait to put it on. Thanks for all the help. Also putting in a 180 T stat this weekend.
