Normally I'm not for that stuff either, but in this case it'll really compliment the Magnum valve covers.

They add 30 hp, didn't you know that.

Seriously, there is no advantage other then looks I guess. They are a little taller, but stock rockers and some brands of 1.7 rockers will still fit under stock covers. They are stamped aluminum, so maybe they disapate heat better. Other then that, I can't think of any advantage other then asthetics.

I do car shows with my Christian car club www.Holyrollerz.orgso keeping this dressed up I'll win some cash here and there to offset the cost, but they are for looks. The stockers, to me, are just butt ugly. The one on my jeep is ugly too, but it dosen't get showed.

Update: I have been consistently getting 13 mpg give or take .25 since changing to the open air cleaner. I was getting 12.25 to 12.5. I guess it is doing some good. I don't like the whistling noise I have now though.... Wish there was a way to fix that part of it.....

well ok guys tonight i put mine on, had a couple small issues noting a mallot didn't fix, lol forst off i bought one with a recesed base and it didnt even come close to fitting, so i had to smack the ***** off of it with a mallot to basically make it fit, lol so i believe the flatbase would be much better for this, which ill be buying right off as im sure my hammering doesn't help for air flow too much, lol but all in all it took me about 20 mints including hammering to put it on.

first impressions, sounds real cool, and feels good from what i can tell it started raining seconds after i put it on, so ill have to let you know when its dry out.

here are a couple of pics, i decided to leave the plastic tube thing that fed the stock intake air, because honestly what harm could it do???, if anything it will feed it a bit of fresh air.

Well I went this route for now, a little noisey, but an improvment.
Mopar valve covers, breather and other stuff coming soon.

I picked up the samefilter kittoday. No S bolt needed making it a quick install. Sounds awesome with the throttle opened and there does seems to be a nice gain in throttle response.

I just worry a bit on how well this set up will protect my engine from dirt.
