what will be the largest tire size stock form on a 4x4 1997 dodge?

will it fit 33's under or should i stay with 31's??

im thinking about pro-comp mud terrains or mtz mickey thompsons

also what is a nice exhaust that has a nice tone to it?

285/75-16Is the biggest that will fit on the stock 16" wheels

 

I'm about to put 285s on mine (33") on mine. I don't anticiptate it to rub at all.

 

4x4's came from the dealer with 265/75/16's.

 

That is what I have (265/75/16's) but they are for a SUV (was on the truck when I bought it) and max PSI is 35 and I don't expect them to last long... When I buy new I plan on sticking with that size but going to a C, D, or E rated tire...What do you recommend..C,D,or E????????

 

I had 285s for years and they rub on the inside when you turn the wheel full lock, other than that they do great!

 

If you go to www.4wheelparts.com they have a tire/wheel/gear guide that will help and their tech dept is pretty savvy on the subject. As far as exhaust it depends on what you want to spend and what type of performance you want. On my 98 5.9LI'm going with a set of JBA stainless steel headers, dual exhaust 2.5" to a set of 3" Flowmaster Super 40's ( don't need or want cats; however I keep hearing about these magna flow highflow ones)out to each rear corner's at a 45 degree angle. Total cost including shipping $720.

I you want it load inside the cab and out then go with the Cherry Bomb or the old school Flowmaster, if you want it load outside with a slight rumble inside the cab then go with the Delta Flow design Flowmaster's.

 

WHAT WILL BE THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK?? I DONT WANT IT TO LOUD IN THE INSIDE CAB.
