Default 4.7L Cam Swap Information

I've received several request for the links to the cam swap threads. There are two, the one that Trucky created and the FAQ that Eric made for us. I'm going to sticky this here with both threads.

Travis and I conducting the swap.

We are SOHC. I started stock and I've ran HO cams, 206 cams and 224 cams. I've installed 212 and 212X on friends trucks. 218 is the only grind I haven't installed yet.

3.92s and 4.10s are really close. With an HO cam I would say 3.92 for a 206/212 I would say 4.10. For 224 turbo/boost grind go/stay with 3.55s.

If you tow alot i would say 4.10's because it will help get up to speed better but you might loose some mpg at 65+mph but 9.92's and 4.10's are real close so if it comes down to it what ever you can get a better deal on i guess.

I would say 3.92 gears and HO cams and you will be set.
