$8 really isnt much. I blow $8 in gas every time I drive out to a friends house. But its the concept; think of how much money they make by charging every customer that misc fee. It sure adds up fast, and its not fair to the consumers.

I agree, i went a couple weekends ago to get my exhaust welded up, since all I had was clamps holding it all together, they charged me $50 for the labor and $6.00 "misc. shop supplies"....which was for the welding materials. I don't know, maybe we always paid these fees but now, for some reason, they itemize everything. I would have a much easier time just paying the $56.00 for the work and not knowing $6.00 of it was for the supplies they used to do the work. You would figure the ridiculous labor rates they charge these days would cover the consumable supplies.

All those extra fees are ridiculous! What if you went to McDonalds and they charge you shop fees for napkins and straws, or cup disposal fee lol....I think the reason that they charge the shop fees or other fees is because that way they can advertise/quote a lower price for the tires/service, and then once they get you in the door they hit you up for all these fees that if were included in the "quote" they give you then you probably would have went to another place to do business with.

It is a high pressure business as well since once you special order a set of tires or a special part and then change your mind and say you do not want them they will charge you 15% re-stocking fee.

Even if i didnt ask for the $8 back I would still be getting what I wanted for less then I could of gotten the tires for online, but just because that salesperson tried to b.s. me I will do whatever it takes to get it back because I am not one to let people get over on me. Some one trying to scam me over $8 pisses me off just as much as if someone tried to scam me for $800.

i bet you wont get your money back....like here in nc, we pay a "white goods" fee if we buy appliances, supposed to cover the cost of disposing the old appliances in the land fill. Even if they don't haul away old appliances, we still have to pay it because they figure eventually an appliance will be thrown away. You will eventually be getting rid of a set of tires, either the ones you are now buying or the ones that you are taking off. Maybe you'll get lucky if you raise enough ruckus....good luck!

LOL! I like that idea! Well I just checked my fed ex tracking number and my wheels just arrived in Orlando FL so thats only about 100 miles from me so they should be delivered tomorrow or Thursday! On a side note I took the 4x4 stickers off the bed of my truck today. Now going to have to find some bed stripes!

I used my fingernails to get the 4x4 decals off. It was pretty easy and i had both sides off within 5 minutes of starting. Tomorrow I will take some automotive goo gone and get the little bit of glue still on there off. I was pleased to see that the ghost image of the decal was not in the paint

As far as the stripes. I pm'ed Eric and he said he said he would contact the guy that did his and see if he was still doing them. If not then I will go to a sign shop around here and have them done. Or there are plenty of places on line that do them. See link to one of them below.
