Yep, it has an 5 speed auto with the V8 but 2nd gear has 2 gear ratios depending on which way it is shifting. If you hit the throttle and it down shifts to 2nd you will have a 2.62 gear ratio and if you are starting off the line and up shift you will have a 2.50 gear ratio.

I don't think switching to a factory 6 discwill mess with the bluetooth because I have both from the factory. I'm sure it's just a plug-in to the back of the unit. I don't think you could go with an aftermarket one unless it also had the ability to support the bluetooth

Okay, I've been checking into the Bluetooth thing for the last 45 minutes or so (it's been sloooooow today). Casper's right, it should work fine with the factory 6-disc...it' just be plug and play. No flashing required either.

Replacing with an aftermarket receiver won't allow the UConnect to continue working...every receiver that I looked at online clearly said that, and, from looking at the wiring diagrams, I can see why...the special inputs for the UConnect just won't be there. You could get a receiver with Bluetooth in it, but then you'd still lose the functionality of the mirror. It's a shame really.

I love my AEM Brute Force intake. It sounds great and the filter does not have to be oiled.

LOL...I was/still am a member over there from my GMC Canyon days. I still check in every once in awhile to see how many of them are getting new/rebuilt heads (like my old one needed). They can get a little crazy about those trucks, too...especially if you've ever visited the 'Competitors' board.

Sorry, didn't mean to continue the off topic, but had to chime in.

LoL. What a good choice both of you made ditching the colorado/canyon. That things horrible. Rubbermaid on the inside, cut corner body, made of aluminum foil. straight 5? What are we on the moon?? Like the dice man says: "Get 'em the F*CK outa here!!"

Lol, that's a load of crap that they're all slamming you. You made the right choice by far, Chevy should have kept the S10, that was a lot better than the colorados/canyons are.
