well now that we mentioned staging... setting up a system requires many things... but when staging a vehicles sound (positioning the speakers to sound best to everyone) power has nothing to do with it. its the choice and placement of speakers to counteract the acoustics of road noise, vehicle noise all while making the speakers sound best to the ear.
I have set up hundreds of systems... the only time a vehicle sounded better with front speakers amped and back not was in a regular cab truck with a subwoofer behind the seat.
the theory that the sub will dorwned out the rear fill is crazy. if anything you should amp the speakers to make it cleaner power than a head unit can provide. this will prolong the life of the speaker and sound better in the process.
I am still suggesting a 4 channel amplifier, if you are looking for a cheap one that puts out good clean power... look at the directed A404 it doesnt put out 75X4 but it is durable and has clean power.
