I am. A little bit anyway. Our 4.7s aren't too bad (at least compared to the engines in some other "midsize" trucks). It certainly does everything I ask of it.

I thought the HP on the new 4.7 was closer to 290.

That is true, I'm pretty happy with the power output on mine, that being said it could always be higher

We definitely have it better than the other midsizes though, don't the Colorados have an I5 or something like that?

Um, yeah, they do. I used to have one (well, the twin GMC Canyon) before I got my Dakota. Unbelievably underpowered.
