Where are all the 08-09 owners?

Chrysler sure hasn't made it easy to buy their products. Our nearest Dodge dealer is too far away. The local Chrysler dealer has a grand total of one Dakota. I took a peek inside and I must admit I wasn't taken by it. I have not seen a single new Dakota on the road in two years of production.

when i was searching to buy a truck about 2 weeks ago, i was very price driven and thinking hey GM , Crysler ar ein bankrupcy and i might be able to get a great deal on a new truck. Man was i mistaken. My budget was 15G's to get a decent truck to pull my boat and use it as a daily driver. (4 full size doors ect.) i did not care about luxury items like power mirrirs ,windows or locks except A/C. So i, and my wife started looking at the trucks new and used... we could not find anything we were looking for, for the price we were willing to pay.Evertthing was above 16g's..used and no warranty ect. So i called a friend of mine at the dealership i used to work at. He located one 09 dakota Crewcub( Quad cub) STwith V6 4speed auto and trailer pack and he let me have it for $15G's ...Everybody who knows me i keep my wehicles long time... so limited powertrain warranty that came with it is a good add on and i purchased the crysler lifetime mechanical service contract for the cost. I believe i got a good deal and he made around $600 from that unit. That is how i got my truck. Now i am trying to find a way ot get an center console with armrest ot it. St does not have it.

Iv'e been hanging around here for a few months. Just started posting a few days ago.
I got my Dakota in late 08. Sticker was just over $31k CDN, got it for just over $24k.
It's got the 4.7 and 3.92 limited slip. Overall it's a decent truck, especially for the money.
