Do you have a Auto or Manual? If you have a manual learn hot to WOT shift. I dropped .4 of a second when I had my GTI went from 13.8 @ 103 to 13.4 @103. With that trap speed you should be in the high 12's

thats a really nice 60 foot time... lots of people even with slicks have trouble getting below 1.9 60's.

That was one of my boost launches. I had troubel launching under boost, only pulled it off twice. I really need a stall.

I'm automatic tranny.

ive raced VMP..its a nice track, and pretty quick IIRC...very impressive times, and lots of room to grow. figure, i ran 12.40s with a slower trap speed than that.

and who has troubles getting 1.9 short times with slicks? ive been pullin 1.60s on DOTs...the laser pulled 1.90s with snow tires.

blown, it seems to me that youre going to have more launch problems with the bigger stall. i run a 4000 in the mirada and a 3000 in the demon, and i think that once youre launching further into your powerband, youre going to have more traction troubles.

Strat, do you have any advice on launching under boost? Twice I was able to get around 3000 and launch under boost without loosing it to the bypass. Thanks man.

i have a ton of experience launching at the track, but ive never owned/raced a blown car or truck. when you launching under boost, how exactly are you launching? staging, bringing the revs up? etc?

When I stage and get the first yellow, I power brake, press the pedal hard to 3,000 rpm (about where my slicks start to loose their plant) Watch boost shoot up to about 8psi or so, third light hits and I launch and hope I hit green. If my timing is off, I loose the boost through the bybass valve and its the worst sound in the world, lol. If I push the boost to fast the tires slip, if I try to hold the boost the bypass vents it away. It was very challenging to master, lol.

Awesome times Blown. I def see a 12 second 3rd gen. in the works.

If you are shopping for a stall converter, give Andre at Edge Racing Converters a call, he'll set you up and he's a great guy, loves Dodges and really knows his stuff. I got from a 2600 billet stall from him, just haven't had a chance to install it yet.

blown, this is why most people will use a small shot of nitrous to get out of the whole until the boost pics up, i have plenty of grand national friends that use this set up for that purpose
