too bad i would have mailed you my old airaid for nothing. Just shipping. Just needs to be cleaned up a little. And a new filter.

After your horror story on the first page, Im happy I didnt stick any more money in to Airaid. So you said the Airaid mounted to the top of the factory box, does this mean it still used the stock tube between the air box and the fender to draw in cold air?

This is what the Airaid system looks like. It replaces the top of of the OEM air system. Mine was great, the filters are so good I use them on the blower.

see now mine doesnt look like that!! They seem to have started making them better obviously. I got one years ago so they made some improvements it would seem.

Yeah, it looks like Blown287's replaces the tube from the fender to the air box. And it is all made of plastic.
Oh well, I dont need a full CAI yet. Maybe Ill get one for my birthday.

the whole reason true cold air systems came about was due to intake temps.
Whos splitting hairs I know cooler air makes more horseys, I am just saying with a simply stock, minor add ons engine is not going to see the huge gains to say Plastic is better than Alumnium as say in a Nitro Funny Car Just saying...

i have the airaid and love it. i have had no problems with mine. i would suggest it to anyone
