air filter direct to MAF?
is it a good idea...and the sensor of temperature people do the power cable mod....can i leave it in a cold area out of the intake plumbing in the engine bay instead?
Idt the power wire is a very good idea, but i dont no much about it. I made one for my truck but hessitated to put it on so i just stuck with my gut and didnt put it on. I think it makes the engine run too lean
ive seen a guy with a oval K&n and a RT fonctionnal ram air hood...tb seems to be a 3 inches 1/4...what filter are wou using to clear stock hood? and to relocate the wire do i really need to skin the wires and put them longer??? the power cable seems a good mod but in the future y will add exhaust im afraid to run lean what is best choise between power cable and relocated cable in a colt area?
Is it wise to put the sensor somewhere where it wont read the correct air temp? Isn't that the point of the sensor??
Relocating it is pointless. It can only cause more harm then good. Why would you want to put it somewhere where it will get a "colder" reading then what the actual air temperature is??

If the IAT sees cooler temps, the ECU adjusts the fuel map and timing to compensate.
Our trucks run pretty rich from the factory. Leaning it out a little and adding some timing makes a little more power.
Relocating the IAT is one of the most common "mods" on our motors... its usually the first thing people do after getting an FIPK.
