Getting alot of questions about cam swaps. Here is my 224 cam install, Trucky took the pictures and posted the writeup.

 

Very nice writeup! That actually looks less complicated than I had assumed.

 

Its just attention to detail and knowing what you are doing. I've done several and I've only seen one go bad. A set of used 212X cams were installed without lash caps and I'm sure you can imagine how that went.

okay Blown287 do you think once i get to texas from deployment in January/February you can help me get my Cams installed on my truck since my knowledge and tool ownage is minimal? and how much HP and TQ do you get out of these HO CAMS?

 

You will have to make a drive to Nebraska but yes I will help you. The HO cams alone add 20hp.

 

not a big deal im thinking im gonna do it while im on leave so where do i get the cams and what else do i need to buy for the install or does the essential components i need to install in come with em?
