I've been waiting along time for something that fixes the TM system and after reading this I had to take the plunge. The Jet chip will be coming out. I don't know if its the best price but these guys have it on sale right now for 295.00 with free shipping. I thought the difference in price from most sites would pay for the trany DL upgrade. MODs, Is there going to be a specific forum topic that people can post trans excel profiles on with a brief explanation of results?

 

$295 is what I paid for mine, minus a $10 coupon I had. Best price I could find 4 months ago. They sell used for close to that price. The jet chips have had mixed reviews before, and they are chips not programmers so I felt Superchips was the way to go. On a side note, Hypertech is developing a programmer for the 07+ Dakota 4.7l HO which adds 47rwhp. When those are released they are working on the 05-06's but they wont have tranny tuning.

 

I would love more power but I think that the factory trans program has been a thorn in my side long enough. When my truck is not being held back, it has fantastic power, its just not always predictable do to the dang TM system. I saw that the Hyper wont be doing the trans though. If we could stack them like you guys were addressing then that would be a wicked combo

 

Hah! Yes that would! It all depends on how much their programmer is going to cost .... and how much power it will put out in the 05-06s

On the bright side superchips is releasing a "race only" tune option for diesels this summer, and theres a rumor that its possibly going to make it out for the gas burners too.

Are you guys interested in a step by step webpage that will give you the basics on how to do your own schedule and tweak it or should I not waste my time?
