Getting Tired of Problems with my DAK
Has anyone else had these same problems with there dakota:
Driver and Passenger side exhaust manifolds warped
Driver and Passenger catalytic converters bad
CAM sensor replaced 8 times
3 power steering pumps in the last 4 weeks
Transmission rebuilt at 50,000 miles
Overheats going over 6% grades with A/C on
If anyone has had the same problems, can you let me know what you ended up doing, im about to sell this truck, all though i love it.

First let me say welcome to the site. I haven't had any of those problems and I'm sorry to hear about it. I replaced my entire exhaust with a performance set up but it was to increase performance vice having any trouble. I certainly hope you get it worked out. How many miles are on the truck?

Thanks, My trucks got 72000 miles on it now, i have a Flowmaster muffler installed, and a 2 inch leveling kit. Im just fighting with the dealer currently about the exhaust manifolds and the cam positioning sensor, because now they dont want to warranty it, although its a continuous problem.

The only remotely close things I have heard, are the older 3rd Gens had problems with the exhaust manifold bolts breaking, but that was addressed. One of our members had steering rack problems, but I think he contributed that to the his leveling kit and over-sized tires, and then there was a trans filter update which was also addressed. Other than that I havent heard anything of the nature like you describe.

Thanks for the welcome, i was wondering where the exhaust manifold bolts breaking and the trans filter update was addressed, was this in another thread or through Mopar?
Thanks.
