I have a bran spankin new cooling system for my truck. I meen everythibng is replaced, new waterpump, radiator, E. Fan, 180 stat. And it still over heats!! whats goin on.
when i replace antifreeze i buy a jug of non mixed antifreeze..(why pay for water? split in two jugs 50/50 :-P )
anyhow...when i refill from work like bottom hose or something...fill up the radiator to the top and leave the cap off and start the truck let it warm up to temp so the coolent circulates it wont spray out as it wont have pressure but should be warm/hot ill dab my finger in it.
to persuade it to take more ill squeeze the radiator hoses to burp it in a little better...
thats what i normaly do but i had my friend pic me up a bottle and he got me 50/50 and ill try that. I meen even if it was just a lil low would it run hot?
Our trucks use a slightly different kind of antizreeze. At NAPA, it's ZEREX E-06 (I think). The jug will tell you. The important thing is that you shouldn't mix different kinds of antifreeze.
