How much more power could i get with a custom tune after h/o cams compared to the superchips tuner?

uhm i would say...uhm...not a whole lot more if any...unless heavily modified like Blown...maybe a few but that means your stuck on that tune to where as tuner you can change it!

To do a custom tune, your going to need at least a wideband. A logger would be best. A custom tune will really wake the truck up.

I always wonder why people think you have to have heavy mods to get something out of a custom tune... Super chips tunes conservatively. A custom tune can get a lot more aggressive because its tailored to your truck. not "every truck". you can also get more than 1 tune. IE A daily driver tune, A race day tune or nitrous like superdak...

You dont need to have a ton of work done, but every bit just builds on the last mod and makes the gains that much better.
A custom tune will always be better than a hand held. The hand held will be conservative due to fuel quality, mods, altitudes and so on.

SC even states their tuners are for basically stock vehicles. Stock meaning everything being stock with the exception of exhaust and intake...

Typically our tuning is designed to work with basically stock vehicles. Cat back Exhaust are ok Shorty headers are ok on normally aspirated applications Cold Air Intakes are typically ok, but only when the mass air meter is the same distance from the throttle body as with the stock intake. Bigger down pipes on diesels typically work fine except on the 6.0L Ford where the bigger down pipes hurt the low end torque of the motor.

Im thinking after the h/o cams a custom tune wont be a bad idea and maby a 50 of nitrous would help out a little too.

I agree totally, I've received nothing but the best support and tuning from Mr. Powell. I highly recommend him for any custom tuning for our trucks.
