just take out the headlight

 

if you are just replacing the bulb, you can reach the drivers side from underneath the bumper without having to remove anything. The passenger side requires removing the headlight assy.

 

oh i thought you had to remove both? but from what you've told me Jkeaton they're both easy to remove...besides i'm thinking about painting my headlights like Trucky did with his ride cause that looks sick! do i need to sand down the part of the headlight that i'll be painting or do i just spray on and put a clear coat on afterwards?

 

You have a clear shot to the drivers side bulb from underneath. You can remove the housing if you want to but you dont have to to replace the bulb. At least I did not have to. and yes you need to sand anywhere you want paint to stick.

 

Just make sure you pull straight out otherwise youll break the little tabs on the back like I did

 

yeah...naw just taking the whole headlight out after i mask off where i'm gonna be painting. need the practice and got the time so no worries! know what grit sand paper I need?

okay...cause i bought the paint (can't remember the name) that everyone uses to either dim out their brakes lights or put a light tint to and alot of people on here have bought it just can't think of the name! and since i'm gonna paint them i might as well take out the headlights as a whole and not just the lenses. besides will be fore good practice anyway.
