Default question - converting from open to limited slip diff

I am looking to convert my open diff to a limited slip. There are a few limited slip options made for the Chrysler 9.25" axle and I don't know if these will work for my truck (2009 Dak with the 9.25 diff).

Anyone else done this? What all needs to be changed if I use the OEM no-slip diff?

And LSD that is made for a Chrysler 9.25 rear with 31 spline will work. I would go with the Auburn LSD over the stock OEM as the stock LSD has a tendency to grenade the "C" clip. If you search you will find dozens of threads on it. Both Ericemery and I have broke our "C" clips in our stock LSDs.

Will I need to change my ring and pinion gears if I go with the Auburn?

Not unless you want a different gear ratio. Whatever gears you have now will work fine as long as the LSD is a 9.25 with 31 spline.

If you have the stock Mopar LSD aka "Trak-Lok" then yes, the "C" clips are notorious for grenading. If you search you will find tons of threads on it.
