Default My Stereo install. COMPLETE W PICS. Sounds incredible!!!

OK guys here it is. All of you that complained that it was soo hard to get a good sounding system with a subwoofer, well I pieced together this one, installed it myself (my first time) and i must say it sounds better than I could have expected. Enjoy!!! (by the way, I would have added a sound clip, but we all know that you can never really hear how good a system sounds on those)

Heres the breakdown of system components:

Factory 2007 radio w/ PAC adapter for amplifiers
Kicker 3-way crossover
Kicker 360 watt 4ch amp
Kicker 300 watt mono amp
2 stinger dist. blocks
4 Alpine 6.5 spkrs
10" Kicker CVT sub
MTX Thunderform sub enclosure
Stinger 8.25 inch cylinder cooling fan
24X48 Aluminum tread plate
A bunch of industrial strength velcro
Blood
Sweat
Tears
oh and patience

In the final pic you can see both amps secured under the rear passenger seat. Power and ground distribution blocks in between, the crossover is mounted behind the cup holder and that little piece of aluminum plate you see in the corner is the cooling fan mounted under the lip of the rear storage area. Lemme know what you all think! I wish you could hear it. Sounds incredible and everything is completely hidden. The only hint of a sound system (when its turned off ) is the sub woofer remote **** mounted next to the cig lighter.IMG_0922.jpg

Oh, by the way, yeah I accidentally kneeled on the mesh, which is why it is ripped. Gonna redo that whole thing and make it stronger, but man does it work well. Even after running the amps for over an hour they are still cool to the touch.

Wow, that is one hell of a system! You know you are serious about your sound system when you rip out your interior to install it. Lol

Good work man!

ps- you might want to edit your post and put each picture on a new line to make it easier to scroll though. Not picking, just mentioning it Either way, thanks for the pics and glad it all worked out for you.

Good idea, seeing as how I just figured out how to ad pics I will work on that. I tore out the interior for two reasons, first of all to install all of this, and also to see what I am working with if I ever want to do anything else. plus, I thought some of you might want to see what is hiding under your carpet if you ever want to do anything. Honestly, it only took an hour to take everything out. But thanks, It was alot of work, but if your gonna do something you gotta do it right.

Yeah, my mind is turning now thinking about all the things I could do after seeing whats under the carpet. That channel that runs in front of the rear seats looks like a great place to run wires! .... and possibly add some lighting.

very good job I am jealous. Even though I am an electrician I am a little intimidated by car audio. Maybe I am paranoid but I see you drilled straight through the diamond plate and then ran wire through.. I would be worried about future shorts caused from vibration.. just a thought.. maybe these bushings would help.

Thanks Tim, yeah, I had thought about putting in grommets for each hole to prevent that. Even though all the wires are duct taped on the back that would be a good idea. I was running out of time over the weekend with the install, but I think I might go back and do that. Its funny you mention your an electrician, cuz while I was running all those wires through the back of the seat I was saying to myself I could never be one, cuz it was driving me crazy!
